Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: ADHD involves your child’s inability to stay focused on a given task long enough to absorb the important information required for learning.
Dyslexia: Reading relies on visual memory, auditory processing, and directionality. A child diagnosed with dyslexia will have problems with one or more of these processes.
Dysgraphia: Children with dysgraphia struggle with handwriting tasks and other assignments, such as forming letters, spelling words, and word spacing.
Dyspraxia: Dyspraxia is a common developmental coordination disorder (DCD) that affects fine and/or gross motor coordination in children and adults.
Dyscalculia: Dyscalculia is a learning disability that affects an individual’s ability to understand numbers and math comprehension, as well as difficulties with pattern recognition.
Nonverbal Learning Disorder: NLD is a learning disability characterized by difficulty recognizing and processing nonverbal cues such as body language and facial expression.
Auditory Processing Disorders: Children with auditory processing disorder (APD), or central auditory processing disorder (CAPD), struggle to take in information verbally.
Visual Processing Disorders: VPD can cause issues with the way the brain processes visual information. Symptoms can include the inability to detect differences in letters or shapes.
Language Processing Disorders: Language processing disorders (LPD) can make it hard for children to understand what they hear and see and to use words correctly.
